In the words of curator Paolo Dell'Elce, the exhibition Forgotten people by Luz Elena Castro, within the Stills of Peace XII Exhibition, is "an invitation to look inside ourselves with different eyes and contemplate that part of ourselves that is unacceptable for many, which often coincides with the most sensitive and painful part, where fragility, purity, even poverty and other attributions usually considered negative, can instead constitute a different value for a redefinition of the human."
From the project's official website: Following the success of its eleventh edition, dedicated to Mexico and the theme of Global Humanity—understood as an expression of solidarity, empathy, and a sense of belonging to a single human community—the twelfth edition of Stills of Peace and Everyday Life turns its gaze toward Colombia, offering a thoughtful exploration of the concept of the Future. Not simply a temporal horizon, the Future is presented as a concrete promise, a driving force of hope and motivation for new generations—those called to shape tomorrow with renewed optimism and awareness. |
